Ariana Television Network has secured exclusive rights in Afghanistan to broadcast four major AFC competitions, including the AFC Champions League, AFC U23 Asian Cup and AFC Futsal Asian Cup Indonesia 2026, bringing elite Asian football and futsal action to Afghan audiences nationwide.
In a significant boost for Afghan sports fans, Ariana Television Network (ATN) has secured the broadcasting rights to air the Games across Afghanistan. The network will provide coverage and highlights, ensuring nationwide access to one of the largest multi-sport events in the Muslim world.
The agreement was signed by ATN Managing Director Habib Durrani and Abdul Latif Ayoubi, head of Ayoubi Sports Complex.
Habib Durrani said: “Fortunately, in recent years, Ariana Radio and Television Network has successfully produced and broadcast football, futsal, and cricket matches in a proper and professional manner. Based on that experience, we are hopeful that the fifth season of Afghanistan Champions League will also be produced and broadcast effectively.”

The tournament, running from March 14 to May 25, will feature 74 matches, ten elite teams, and several Afghan cricket stars. Cricket’s fastest format will unfold over 40 matches in just 12 days, utilizing a round-robin structure at the iconic Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub.
The playoffs will start with Qualifier 1 on December 1, featuring the top two teams.
Teams ranked fourth and fifth will clash in Eliminator 1, followed by Eliminator 2, where Team 3 will face the winner of Eliminator 1.
The runners-up of Qualifier 1 will then meet the winner of Eliminator 2 in Qualifier 2, leading up to the grand finale on December 2, where the champions of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 will compete for the title.
Defending champions, the New York Strikers will launch their title defense against the Morrisville Samp Army on November 22. Meanwhile, the Deccan Gladiators, last year’s runners-up, are eager to embark on their quest for redemption, determined to capture the victory that narrowly eluded them.
The 2024 edition features players from 18 different nations, showcasing the truly global nature of the Abu Dhabi T10.

Ariana Television Network (ATN) is thrilled to announce it has secured a deal to officially broadcast one of the world’s greatest sporting events – this year’s Olympic Games.
Ariana Television Network has done it again – this time by securing exclusive rights to broadcast Afghanistan’s upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.
All matches, which includes a Test, a three-match ODI series, and three T20Is, will be broadcast live on Ariana Television.
The team is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on January 30 and the Test will start on February 2 in Colombo followed by the ODI series, which starts on February 9, and then the T20Is, which will get underway from February 17.
With most of the focus on the two limited-overs formats, Afghanistan ended up playing just one Test match over the better part of the last three years. Now, however, they’ve found space in the calendar and have two separate all-format series taking place between February 2 and March 18.
Seven days after the end of their tour of Sri Lanka, Afghanistan will be in the UAE hosting Ireland for a one-off Test match between February 28 and March 3. This series also includes a limited-overs leg as Afghanistan build towards the next T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the USA in June.
Afghanistan’s tour of Sri Lanka was always going to feature a Test match and three T20Is.
“The addition of these three ODIs,” ACB chief Mirwais Ashraf said, “is a significant move to ensure a complete and comprehensive tour which not only provides good exposure to Afghanistan Cricket but will also foster stronger relations between the two nations.
“Playing Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka is always tricky but is a challenge that Afghan Atalan can easily embrace,” he said.
The upcoming tours of Sri Lanka, and then the home series against Ireland, will help the team to prepare for the important T20 World Cup.
