Kabul, Afghanistan—May 4, 2018—Ariana Television Network (ATN) (www.arianatelevision.com), Afghanistan’s premier broadcaster of award-winning television and radio programming to 25,000,000 Afghans, announced today that The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), Football’s international governing body, has named ATN as Official Broadcaster for the 2018 FIFA World CupTM for the country of Afghanistan.  FIFA has granted ATN the exclusive Media Rights License to broadcast the competition, by means of cable, satellite, and terrestrial transmission in Afghanistan.

ATN’s selection by FIFA as its World CupTM media partner marks the second consecutive time that FIFA has designated ATN as Afghanistan’s only authorized broadcaster of World Cup Football.

Russia is the host nation for 2018’s World Cup Competition. ATN’s audience of more than 25,000,000 viewers, will be spectators to some of the world’s most exciting and fiercely competitive football, hosted in cities throughout Russia, including: Ekaterinburg, Kaliningrad
Kazan, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-On-Don, Samara, Saransk, Sochi, Saint Petersburg
and Volgograd.

Siemens SGT-A45, The World’s Most Advanced Gas Turbine, Will Form Core Of Bayat Power-1, And Produce Electricity For 200,000 Afghan Homes and Businesses

Kabul, Afghanistan—April 15, 2019—Bayat Power, the power generation division of Bayat Energy (www.bayat-energy.com), Afghanistan’s largest Afghan-owned Energy Exploration, Development and Production Company, announced today that the Company has achieved a crucial milestone in its mission to provide affordable and reliable electric power to all Afghans, with the Company’s acquisition and shipment of the Siemens SGT-A45 Mobile Turbine, the world’s most advanced gas to electricity power generation solution.

The Siemens SGT-A45—made in Houston, Texas by Siemens USA —can generate up to 41 megawatts (MW) of power at 50 HZ. The Siemens SGT-A45 forms the core of the first phase of Bayat Power-1, Bayat Power’s Gas to Electricity power plant, located in Northern Afghanistan.

Bayat Power’s acquisition of the Siemens SGT-A45—a powerful symbol of the Afghan-American partnership, which is rebuilding Afghanistan’s power sector while also creating jobs in America—was commemorated at a ceremony attended by high level representatives including:

This first phase of Bayat Power-1 is scheduled to become operational in late summer 2019 and generate enough electricity for 200,000 Afghan homes and businesses. When all three phases of Bayat Power-1 are completed, the plant will generate 200 megawatts of power, enough electricity to serve millions of Afghan residential and commercial users.

ACC Asia Cup 2023 on Ariana Television

The schedule for the 2023 Asia Cup, co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, was officially announced on Wednesday evening. The tournament will run from August 30 to September 17.

Pakistan will take on Nepal in the opening match of the 2023 Asia Cup in Multan, the ICC confirmed. 

The tournament, which will be played in 50-overs format, has six teams divided into two groups of three teams each.

Pakistan, India and Nepal are in Group A while Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka are in Group B. The tournament will follow a hybrid model with Pakistan hosting four matches across two venues and Sri Lanka hosting the remaining games.

The iconic clash between India and Pakistan is set for September 2 in Kandy. 

The six group-stage matches will be followed by the Super 4s, beginning September 6. 

The final will be played by the teams that occupy the top two spots at the end of the Super 4s on September 17 in Colombo. 

Afghanistan’s first match in the Group Stage will be on September 3 in Lahore, Pakistan, against Bangladesh. The team will then play Sri Lanka, also in Lahore, on September 5. 

The Asia Cup will be broadcast live by Ariana Television Network, starting on August 30. Broadcasting details, final fixtures and match reports will also be published on ATN’s digital sites daily – providing cricket fans with all the information they need.
